BMW Motorrad along with TVS Motors will be co-manufacturing the G310R model in India. Surprisingly, India is not among the first 41 countries that would experience the BMW G310R. The report has been confirmed through BMW G310R's micro website that was recently launched.
TVS Motors will be manufacturing their version of the BMW G310R. Perhaps the Indian and German manufacturer have struck a deal as to BMW G310R or the TVS Akula 310 would launch in India first. Both bikes will share several parts and components between each other.
Powering the BMW G310R is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 33.53bhp, along with 28Nm of peak torque output and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW G310R can attain a top speed of 145 km/h and weighs 158.5 kgs with all liquids onboard.
The soon to be launched BMW G310R was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. TVS Motors and BMW Motorrad plans to develop and manufacture several bikes together. BMW G310R is the first product that will be launched from the Indo-German partnership.
