BMW Is Recalling The R NineT For The Silliest Reason Possible
The BMW's R nineT is definitely a stunner, thanks to its neo-retro design similar to the old boxer-twins. However, BMW is now issuing a recall to replace the turn signals, on all the motorcycle sold in North America.
The has informed that the design of the rear turn signals makes it hard to see by the drivers of other vehicles. BMW had designed the turn signals too short, which causes the number plate or tail extension to cover them from most of the angles.
We are aware that, most of the time bikers are not seen by the car drivers. And the fact that people drivers not seeing the biker's turn signals only makes the problem worse.
BMW R nineT models sold during the time period between 2014-2015 will fall under the current recall. The replacement blinkers will come with longer arms that stick out more and can be seen clearly.
Owners will be notified about the current recall. The owners will get the replacement for the faulty signals at free of charge. The operation will be carried out from October 21, 2016.
Until then, take care while you ride your R nineT.
