The India Bike Week (IBW) is the biggest stage for two-wheeler makers in India and Benelli did not miss the chance to showcase the TRK 502 motorcycle at the event. The Benelli TRK 502 was initially unveiled during the 2016 Auto Expo.
Though it was only a showcase, many bikers and enthusiasts gathered to witness the motorcycle being unveiled on the grand stage. When launched in a few months, the Benelli TRK 502 will be the only motorcycle in its class in India.
Powering the Benelli TRK 502 adventure motorcycle is a 500cc, parallel twin cylinder four-stroke engine that produces 47bhp and 45Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and the power is delivered to the rear wheels through a traditional chain.
The Benelli TRK 502 features long travel upside down forks, monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, mounts for panniers, and standard ABS.
Benelli has not announced the price of the TRK 502 in India yet, but when launched later this year, the Benelli could be priced at around Rs. 5 to 6 lakh. The TRK 502 could sell in huge numbers if DSK Benelli get the pricing right.
