Bajaj Auto has launched its much-awaited V15 motorcycle in the Indian market. The V15 motorcycle is priced attractively at Rs. 62,000 ex-showroom (Delhi). Recently, Bajaj Auto showcased the V15 ahead of the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Pre-bookings for the V15 by Bajaj Auto had commenced ahead of its launch. An approximate amount of Rs. 5,000 was being accepted for pre-booking the V15 motorcycle. The all-new motorcycle can also be booked through Bajaj's microsite for the V15.
Scrapped metal from INS Vikrant warship is used in the production of the V15 motorcycle. Most of the precious metal have been used in the sculpting of the pumped up fuel tank. In a way, the V15 motorcycle is a tribute to the Indian warship.
Powering the V15 motorcycle by Bajaj is a 149.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The motorcycle produces 11.84bhp along with 13Nm of peak torque output. Bajaj engineers have mated the new engine to a smooth 5-speed gearbox.
Only two colour options are available with the V15 motorcycle. Bajaj will be offering the V15 in Pearl White and Ebony Black paint schemes. In terms of design, Bajaj Auto has opted for a retro/ classic look for their commuter/ cafe racer looking motorcycle.
