Bajaj V vs Hero Glamour FI
The recently unveiled Bajaj V has caused excitement in the commuter segment. It's positioned between practical and sporty commuter bikes. A close competitor and market leader is the Hero Glamour FI.
Hero's Glamour is ruling the roost with close to 40 percent in market share and Bajaj wants to create a new segment itself. The executive commuter has reasons to smile as there will be a good choice between these two. Let us compare them.

Design
The Bajaj V is made from INS Vikrant steel and looks solid and imposing with the well rounded tank and wide handlebars. The chassis is built as double cradle and finish is more imposing and subtle detailing.
The Hero Glamour comes with conventional 125cc commuter bike look. This too comes with double cradle chassis with upswept rear.
Features
Bajaj V's instrument cluster comes with a colour changing LED petrol gauge and indication of red when petrol is nearing end. Rear seat cowl for option to ride single. Masculine graphics, LED tail lamp, a thunderous exhaust, and many more.
The Hero Glamour comes with dual tone graphics, body coloured rear view mirrors, semi-digital instrument cluster with real time mileage indicator.
Safety
Both the bikes are fitted with front disc brake and drum for the rear wheel.
Verdict
Bajaj could be creating a new segment and is thirsty for the market share in the 110cc to 125cc motorcycles, and is probably looking to V to deliver the required push which is very sporty and could add to the imagination of the executive commuters. The Glamour is a tried and tested model and has great followers due to Hero's legacy in mileage of commuter bikes.
