Bajaj V Aims At Selling 50,000 Units Per Month Across India
Bajaj Auto recently launched its all-new executive commuter motorcycle for India. The Indian manufacturer christened its product as the 'V'. Now Bajaj aims that they could sell over 50,000 units of the V across the country within a month.
The V motorcycle from Bajaj is priced at Rs. 62,000 ex-showroom (Mumbai). Bajaj has surely set itself a tough goal, however, they are confident this goal will be achieved within 18 months. Currently, the V will be manufactured at Chakan and production could be increased based on the demand.
Bookings for V are going on in full swing across the country and deeper penetration into the rural market will be beneficial. Deliveries are expected to commence on March 23, 2016, which is celebrated as Martyr's Day in India.
Powering the Bajaj V motorcycle is a 149.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine develops 11.84bhp, along with 13Nm of peak torque output and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj has provided the motorcycle with disc/drum brake combination.
Several other new and exciting two-wheelers are expected to be launched by Bajaj soon. The Indian two-wheeler giant plans on entering a new segment, which was previously not explored by Bajaj.
