Bajaj Announces Leadership In Entry And Sport Motorcycle Segments
Bajaj has announced that the company has now taken leadership in the entry-level and sport motorcycle segment in a press conference. Bajaj Auto is also the fastest growing in these two segments.
In the entry-level segment, Bajaj's market share grew from 23 percent 36 percent, in the first nine months of this financial year. During the November to December (2015), Bajaj attained a market leadership of 53 percent for motorcycles below Rs. 1 lakh after launching the new avenger motorcycles.

Bajaj has also posted a year on year growth of 77 percent in the commuter segment compared to last year. The models that contributed towards this growth were the recently launched CT 100 and the new Platina.
In the performance category, the Pulsar RS200, AS200, and the AS150 contributed heavily. The Pulsar RS200 became the largest selling performance brand above the Rs. 1 lakh mark. Bajaj Auto is also increasing the production capacity of the Avenger models to 30,000 units per month, based on current demand.
