Rajiv Bajaj Expects To Sell 10,000 Units Of Bajaj Kratos 400 Per Month
Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto has stated that the company expects to sell 10,000 units of Kratos 400 per month when the motorcycle is launched in the country.
The Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj has predicted that the company can sell 10,000 units of Bajaj Kratos 400 per month when it is launched in the country.
Speaking about the firm's future products and expected sales Bajaj stated that the new flagship motorcycle from Bajaj has a capability of posting five-digit volume each month.
Apart from the Kratos 400, Bajaj Auto also plans to launch an entry segment motorcycle and a commuter motorcycle along with the Bajaj V.
Bajaj will also overhaul its Pulsar range of motorcycles by updating the design across all the variants. With these launches, Bajaj aims a 24 percent market share by end of this fiscal.
The Bajaj Kratos 400 will be launched in India in November 2016, as stated by Bajaj earlier. The motorcycle is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 1.6 to Rs 1.7 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Kratos motorcycle will be an alternative to a Royal Enfield product but not a straight rival. The Kratos will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan in terms of price, as the Himalayan is priced at Rs 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Bajaj Kratos shares the same 373.27cc engine from the KTM Duke 390. This single-cylinder liquid cooled engine will be equipped with Bajaj's DTS-i technology producing 34bhp. It also gets a slipper-clutch for improved performance.
