Aprilia Set To Launch SR150 MotoScooter On August 10th
Aprilia has now confirmed that its very first motoscooter for the Indian market will be launched on August 10, 2016. The SR150 scooter from Aprilia was showcased in the country for the first time at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Bookings for Aprilia SR150 are being accepted pan India for Rs. 5,000.
The Aprilia SR150 motoscooter is available at an introductory pricing of Rs. 65,000 ex-showroom (Pune). In terms of pricing, Aprilia has been extremely aggressive and is expected to rake in high bookings. Customers will also be enticed to have an Aprilia in their garage.
Powering the Aprilia SR150 is a 154.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine will produce 11.3bhp, along with 11.5Nm of torque. Fuel tank will be capable of storing six litres at a time. Expect the motoscooter to be light and agile, making most of its power packed engine.
SR150 motoscooter will be equipped with disc brakes for the front wheel and drum brakes for the rear. Aprilia's motoscooter will ride on telescopic front forks and a monoshock on the rear. The SR150 motoscooter will be fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels and 120/70 R-17 tyres at the front and rear.
Deliveries of the Aprilia SR150 are set to commence by September 2016. Bookings are being accepted through Vespa dealerships pan India. Expect a waiting period of 45 to 60 days for the Aprilia SR150 motoscooter. Aprilia will be using Piaggio's facility in Baramati, Maharashtra to locally produce the SR150.
