As confirmed to us earlier, the Aprilia SR 150 scooter is most likely to launch sometime in August 2016. The SR 150 scooter will be stylish and sporty just like every other Aprilia product. Performance is expected to be the highlight of Aprilia's first scooter for the Indian market.
Vespa will be providing its all-new 150cc engine to Aprilia's first scooter. The 150cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 11.40bhp and 11.50Nm of torque. Aprilia engineers are expected to provide the scooter with their own performance updates, extracting additional power.
In terms of pricing, the Aprilia SR 150 will bear an approximate price tag of sub one lakh ex-showroom. Aprilia will position their first scooter as a premium and sporty scooter for younger buyers in India. The SR 150 by Aprilia once launched will be the most expensive scooter in the country.
The Aprilia SR 150 scooter was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in two shades black and white. Braking force on the scooter was provided by disc brakes for the front tyre with drum brakes for the rear. SR 150 scooter will also ride on stylish looking alloy wheels designed by Aprilia.
