Aprilia SR 150 Arrives In Bangalore Showroom; Price, Waiting Period Details
The much awaited scooter from Aprilia, the SR 150 has arrived in Bangalore and is currently on display at the Vespa showroom. The scooter is priced approximately Rs. 80,000 on-road (Bangalore). The waiting period is around 45 to 60 days for delivery once booked, and the booking amount is Rs. 5,000.
The Italian two-wheeler maker initially revealed the SR 150 during the Auto Expo and is readying the launch to take place in August. Aprilia also announced an introductory price of Rs. 65,000 for the SR 150 a week earlier.
The Aprilia SR 150 will be powered by a 150cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that does its duty on the Vespa 150, but could be retuned for better performance and mileage. The engine will come mated to a CVT gearbox, like most scooters sold in the country.
The Aprilia SR 150 will be manufactured in Maharashtra, at the Piaggio facility, thus helping the company keep the pricing low. When launched, the Aprilia SR 150 will have no competitors in the Indian market, apart from its own sibling, the Vespa 150. The SR 150 will be available in two colours.
Bookings for the Aprilia SR 150 is accepted via Vespa showrooms across India. In terms of features, the SR 150 showcased at the Expo comes with telescopic front forks, disc brake up front, and a constantly on headlight, since it did not sport a headlight switch. Hopefully, the same has been carried on to the production model.
Prices will soon go up since this is only the introductory prices, so if interested, hurry up and head out to your closest Vespa dealer to book one now.
