Aprilia & SMR Confirm Lorenzo Savadori & Eugene Laverty For 2017 WSBK
Aprilia currently participates in both the MotoGP and WSBK Championships. In both the two-wheeler racing competitions, they take part as Factory teams. Currently, Aprilia partners with IodaRacing in WSBK without additional development inputs.
The Italian superbike manufacturer will be teaming up with SMR (Shaun Muir Racing). Aprilia Factory team has agreed to a two-year contract with SMR as a partner. The main title sponsor for Aprilia and SMR factory outfit will be Milwaukee.
Eugene Laverty is quitting MotoGP and will be joining Milwaukee Aprilia in WSBK 2017 Championship. 2015 World Superstock 1000 Champion, Lorenzo Savadori will team up with Laverty. Milwaukee Aprilia has an explosive rider line-up in WSBK with Eugene Laverty and Lorenzo Savadori.
We hope Lorenzo Savadori and Eugene Laverty to be extremely competitive in 2017 WSBK Championship. Aprilia will be taking part as a factory outfit and is expected to give it their best shot. They would not like to put up a poor performance maximum support and finance backing them up.
