Andrea Iannone was declared fit to take part in Aragon GP. The Italian was ruled out from participating in San Marino GP because he fractured a vertebra in his upper back. The medical centre's staff declared him unfit to participate in San Marino.
The Italian was replaced by his compatriot, Michele Pirro for the remainder of the weekend. MotoGP medical director strongly opposed the decision of medical centre's staff.
Iannone was also disappointed by the staff's decision. He stated, "I wanted to try my best to ride. All the medical people explained to me that it's dangerous in case of a crash. I understood [this], but not 100% because before I arrived in Cesena, the medical team decided and declared me not fit this weekend - before I arrived at the hospital."
Now the Italian is clear to compete and he is looking forward to overtaking his teammate, Andrea Dovizioso in the championship.
