Alvaro Bautista & Aspar Ducati Team Up For 2017 MotoGP Season
Aspar Ducati and Alvaro Bautista will be teaming up for the 2017 MotoGP season. So far, Aspar Ducati has not confirmed Bautista's teammate. The team will have to choose between Yonny Hernandez and Eugene Laverty.
For the 2017 MotoGP Championship, Aspar Ducati has promised Bautista the GP16 machine. This is the same race machine that is currently used by the Ducati Factory team. Bautista is expected to be competitive with the latest machinery.
Currently, Alvaro Bautista rides for the Aprilia MotoGP team, alongside Stefan Bradl. Both riders will be replaced by Sam Lowes and Aleix Espargaro for the 2017 MotoGP season. Stefan Bradl will be moving to the World Superbike Championship alongside Nicky Hayden with Honda.
Alvaro Bautista has been associated with the Aspar Team during his early years in racing. The Spaniard secured his 125cc Championship in 2006 with the Aspar Team. In the 250cc category, Bautista secured eight wins during 2007-2009, once again with the same squad.
The entire 2017 MotoGP seats seemed to be filled and only one spot remains with Aspar Ducati. One of their riders will be disappointed and will not be continuing his journey in MotoGP. Stay tuned for more news and updates from MotoGP and other racing events.
