Tech3 Yamaha Ask Alex Lowes To Participate In 2016 Aragon GP
Alex Lowes was contacted to race with Monster Tech3 Yamaha MotoGP team. The British rider was asked to replace countryman Bradley Smith due to injuries. Lowes was initially asked to compete in two MotoGP rounds with Monster Tech3 Yamaha.
Now, Alex has been asked to compete one more time at the upcoming Aragon GP. Lowes has impressed Yamaha officials by getting easily acclaimed with the satellite race machine. In his two MotoGP outings, he has constantly improved, showcasing his riding potential.
Lowes debuted in MotoGP at the 2016 Silverstone GP, which was his home race. The British rider finished thirteenth, in treacherous conditions. Alex Lowes qualified well at Misano GP, however, he crashed out of the race which ruined his chance of improving his previous finish.
Bradley Smith has sustained injuries to his knee while practising for the Oschersleben 8 hours race back in August. It is unclear if he will return to Monster Tech3 Yamaha during the 2016 season. Smith is confirmed to race the 2017 MotoGP Championship with the KTM MotoGP outfit.
