Yamaha YZF-R3 Records Tremendous Response In India
Yamaha launched their YZF-R3 sportsbike in India on 11th of August, 2015. It was a much awaited launch for several motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.
Japanese officials announced that they are looking forward, to selling 2,000 YZF-R3 motorcycles within 365 days. With the festive season beginning in India, Yamaha has an advantage up their sleeve.
The YZF-R3 will achieve this feat soon, as Yamaha has recorded tremendous bookings, and have already delivered 140 plus motorcycles within a month.
Roy Kurian, V.P., Sales & Marketing, Yamaha India expressed, "Despite various factors like increase in input costs and weakening rupee causing industry figures to go sluggish in August, we have continued our growth which is also due to Yamaha's robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs."
He further added, "Also, much awaited YZF-R3 launch in India during August 2015 has garnered very good response in terms of bookings. With these developments, we hope to garner major sales and will be able to post some record numbers in the coming months too."
Powering Yamaha's YZF-R3 is an inline-twin, 321cc liquid-cooled engine. It produces 41.40 horsepower, along with 29.6 Nm of peak torque output, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
