Yamaha XV950 Racer Unveiled; Deliveries To Commence In May
Yamaha is known for for various different products, however, they are popularly known for their two-wheelers. The Japanese manufacturer has now unveiled its new XV950 Racer.
Powering this motorcycle is a 942cc air-cooled V-Twin engine. The engineers have extracted 52 horsepower and 79.31 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine will develop acceleration from low speeds as well.
The XV950 Racer has been developed on Cafe Racer platform. Yamaha has provided several accessories as well for this motorcycle, so that owners can customise it to their preference.
- Handlebar end mirror by Rizoma
- Billet foot pegs by Rizoma
- Front pulley cover by Rizoma
- Billet clutch and brake lever
- License plate holder
- Front fork brace
- Akrapovic exhaust
- Sports air filter
Yamaha has not revealed the pricing of its XV950 Racer. They have confirmed there will be two colour options to choose from: Glacier Blue and Matt Grey. Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer promises that deliveries will begin by May, 2015.
It is most likely that Yamaha would not offer XV950 Racer in India. They are to launch the YZF-R25, along with a naked version of it as well. The Japanese manufacturer has so far delayed its launches and we are unsure when their quarter-litre motorcycle is coming.
Do you think a motorcycle like XV950 Racer by Yamaha will work in India? We think it would fit perfectly against the likes of Triumph Bonneville and Harley Davidson's Street 750.
