Yamaha Saluto Launches In India; Price, Specs, Features & More
Yamaha is known for developing and producing performance oriented motorcycles. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has launched its new Saluto motorcycle. This motorcycle is expected to attract the commuter segment to the brand and sell high volumes.
The Yamaha Saluto has been Priced at INR 52,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.
In terms of styling, the Yamaha Saluto borrows cues from the entire range of products. It gets the best package from both SZ range and SS motorcycles by the Japanese manufacturer.
Yamaha is positioning its Saluto as a practical and economical option for Indian commuters. This motorcycle looks and feels more stylish and premium as compared to its competitors.
Yamaha has provided its Saluto with the following specifications:
- Engine: 125cc single cylinder
- Horsepower: 8.3
- Torque: 10.1 Nm
- Gearbox: 4-speed
The Saluto will be offered by Yamaha without disc brakes and only drum option will be provided. The commuter motorcycle weighs a merger 112 kilograms and is Yamaha's lightest motorcycle in this segment.
The main USP of this motorcycle will be fuel efficiency, which Yamaha engineers have focussed on. The Saluto claims fuel efficiency figures of 78 kpl and we will be eager to test out this motorcycle.
The Saluto by Yamaha enters a tough commuter market. Currently the 125cc commuter segment is lead by Honda and their Dream series of motorcycles.
