Victory Motorcycles To Compete At Isle Of Man TT With Electric Bike
The Isle of Man TT is a prestigious road race and competing in it is an achievement itself. Victory Motorcycles will be competing this year in the road race event.
They will be fielding their prototype electric race bike in Isle of Man TT Zero. Victory Motorcycles will get support from Brammo in the pure electric race competition.
These motorcycles will be ridden by Lee Johnston and William Dunlop. Both of them hail from Britain and will be proud to ride the American based, Victory electric motorcycles.
Rod Krois, Victory General Manager, expressed, "We know that William Dunlop's experience and the continued Victory Motorcycles development of this electric race bike through work with Parker will propel us into a strong future with electric motorcycles."
Victory's electric race prototype features a dedicated electric motor and power cells. They will also provide a sophisticated electronic control to manage power in the race.
The electric motorcycle is being privately tested in North America. Victory Motorcycles is improving their chassis and electronic package for race conditions. Competition for electric motorcycles SES TT Zero Challenge begins on 10th June, 2015.
