Vespa India Plans To Introduce Fuel Injection In All Its Scooters
Italian scooter manufacturer, Vespa offers stylish looking two-wheelers in several markets. They offer their scooters in India as well in the premium category.
In international markets Vespa scooters are offered with fuel injection systems to improve performance as well as efficiency. Now they plan to provide the same for their Indian scooters as well.
Currently Vespa offers three scooters in India they are the LX, VX and S model. All three share a similar engine and have minor design and feature changes that help in differentiating them.
They offer these three scooters with a 125cc single cylinder air-cooled engine. Vespa has extracted 10 bhp and 10 Nm of peak torque from their engine. Petrol is currently provided to the engine via a carburetor.
Once Vespa introduces fuel injection systems in their scooters, we are sure the prices will be hiked. Currently there are no scooters that offer fuel injection on their scooters, Vespa will surely be one of the first.
Vespa has not launched any new scooter in India recently, however, they have introduced limited editions and special models based on their existing lineup. We are hoping they would launch their GTS scooter in India, which was showcased at 2015 India Bike Week in Goa.
