UM Motorcycles To Launch Cruiser Bike At 2016 Auto Expo
UM Motorcycles had previously showcased their two-wheelers at 2014 Auto Expo. Currently they have partnered with Lohia Auto for their India operation of Completely Knocked Down units.
The first two-wheeler from US based manufacturer will be a cruiser motorcycle. They have now decided to launch a range of locally assembled products at an attractive price.
Indo-American duo will launch their first range of two-wheelers during 2016 Auto Expo. UM Motorcycles is most likely to introduce a single cruiser motorcycle during this period.
Joint venture between Lohia Auto and UM Motorcycles has set up a facility in Uttarakhand. The facility will have an initial capacity of assembling 1,00,000 two-wheeler within a year.
UM Motorcycles will launch a cruiser motorcycle within the 350-500cc single cylinder segment. An investment of INR 100 crore has been invested into this joint venture for Indian market.
They also have to set up dealerships and service outlets, where their two-wheelers can be seen and taken care of. UM Motorcycles is most likely to focus its motorcycles at metro cities and will then follow it in other cities across India.
