British two-wheeler manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles has winning etched into their brand image. They are constantly introducing new innovations among their products globally.
Triumph Motorcycles has now decided to team up with Guy Martin for an epic journey. The duo will attempt to set a new land speed record in August, 2015.
They will be developing a special motorcycle for this record based on their Rocket III motorcycle. Triumph is calling this bike as Rocket III Streamliner and sports two 2.3-litre turbocharged engines, which produce 1,000 horsepower.
Triumph's Rocket III Streamliner is 25.5' long, 2' wide and 3' tall and is made of carbon Kevlar monocoque construction. The motorcycle will be powered by methanol and is expected to shatter current set record.
Guy Martin is known for his love of speed and adventure, they will attempt to bring the record back to Triumph as well as the United Kingdom. They will have to go faster than 605.69 kph.
Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India commented " We are extremely excited to see adrenaline junkie Guy Martin confirmed as pilot for the Triumph world record attempt and will be tuned in from the 23-27 August 2015."
He further added, "We wish Guy and the entire team all the very best to break the motorcycle land speed record at the salt flats of Bonneville, United States of America."
