Suzuki has witnessed mixed reactions from Indian customers between their two-wheeler and four-wheeler offerings. Their four-wheeler success has not rubbed off on their two-wheelers.
The Japanese manufacturer has slowly and steadily witnessed success in India's two-wheeler segment. Suzuki Motorcycles owes this to their new products Gixxer and Gixxer SF.
Now the manufacturer is gearing up for 2016 Auto Expo, which will be held in Delhi. They are planning on utilising the success of the Gixxer for its future products as well.
Suzuki is exploring options of introducing a quarter-litre Gixxer in India, at the upcoming Auto Expo. Suzuki India and Japanese engineers will work together on development of this new engine.
It is most likely that Suzuki will introduce a naked street fighter first and could follow it up with a fully-faired version of their Gixxer 250 motorcycle.
The Japanese manufacturer previously offered a 250cc parallel twin cylinder engine in its Inazuma. This model was not successful as it did not impress buyers with its styling, performance and even pricing.
