Suzuki Gixxer Offered With Optional Skid Plate To Customers

Suzuki Motorcycle introduced the Gixxer naked motorcycle and it was an instant success. The motorcycle now comes with added protection for it's underbelly. Indian road conditions are terrible and it is very easy for the Gixxer to scrape it's underbody.

A brushed aluminium skid plate is being offered by Suzuki for Gixxer. Customers can purchase this accessory for a price of Rs. 1,600. The skid plate will protect the exhaust pipe and crankcase of the motorcycle.

The Gixxer is a popular motorcycle among younger buyers. Sales for Suzuki have improved considerably with the introduction of new products like Gixxer, Gixxer SF, and Let's scooter. Providing customers with accessories that protect their vehicle is a positive move.

Potholes and speed breakers are in abundance along Indian roads. There is a high possibility of the crankcase and even the exhaust getting damaged due to bad road conditions. With the introduction of a skid plate, sufficient protection to the underbelly will be provided.

Suzuki plans on introducing the Gixxer and Gixxer SF with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. There are also plans of a more powerful Gixxer 250 to be showcased at 2016 Auto Expo. Suzuki seems confident of selling two-wheelers in the country finally.

The Suzuki Gixxer motorcycle is priced at Rs. 89,236 on-road in Mumbai. Gixxer SF is fully-faired and shares every mechanical component with its naked version and is priced at Rs. 99,039 on-road in Mumbai.
