Suzuki Gixxer SF To Be Launched In India On 7th April
Suzuki motorcycles will be launching a new fully-faired motorcycle based on their Gixxer. The Japanese two-wheeler has christened its new product as ‘Gixxer SF', which will launch on 7th April, 2015.
Gixxer SF will adorn similar body panels like tank and side panels, which is on the naked version. Suzuki will provide an aerodynamic front fairing, along with full body side fairing.
The fully-faired motorcycle will share several other features like the digital instrument console. Engine will also be the same, however, it is expected to have higher top speed.
Suzuki Gixxer SF will have the following engine specifications:
- Engine displacement: 154.9cc
- Horsepower: 14.59
- Torque: 14 Nm
- Gearbox: 6-speed
Suzuki Gixxer SF will have tough competitors in this segment. It will have to face-off with Yamaha YZF-R15 and Honda CBR 150R. Both these motorcycles are well established in the market.
We believe the Japanese manufacturer has a good offering with their Gixxer SF. We also think it is a bit too late for Suzuki to enter the 150cc sportbike segment in India.
What do our readers think about Suzuki offering a new fully-faired Gixxer? Will it work in India and what pricing do you expect it to be offered? We believe it will be priced significantly higher than the naked version.
