Suzuki Gixxer 250 Could Be Showcased At 2016 Auto Expo
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited could showcase an all-new Gixxer 250 at the 2016 Auto Expo. Quarter litre segment is popular in Asian and other emerging markets around the world. The Gixxer 250 by Suzuki could be launched soon after its showcase at the Auto Expo.
The Gixxer 250 is most likely to be powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. In terms of performance, expect the motorcycle to be on par with its competitors. In India, Suzuki Gixxer 250 will compete with Honda CBR 250R, Hyosung GD250R, and Benelli TNT 25.
Based on the success of both Gixxer and Gixxer SF models, Suzuki will be introducing its Gixxer 250. The motorcycle will make use of a single downtube frame, which will be modified for the new engine and extra performance.
Suzuki could equip the Gixxer 250 with an all-new swingarm, shock absorbers, tyres, brakes, instrument console, seats, and riding posture. The Gixxer 250 would share a few parts with Suzuki's existing models to lower costs and price of the final product.
Gixxer 250 will adorn a sporty full fairing and no it will not look similar to the popular Gixxer SF. Suzuki will provide their quarter litre motorcycle with a design language similar to its GSXR performance motorcycles. Stay tuned for more updates from Suzuki and their upcoming Gixxer 250.
