Spy Pics: Royal Enfield Himalayan (Adventure-Tourer)

The Royal Enfield Himalayan (adventure-tourer motorcycle) is the company's next big launch for India. The most important aspect of the Himalayan is its design.

The Himalayan rides on high front and rear suspension, making the motorcycle a very capable adventure-tourer. The Himalayan will also feature a new engine, a 410cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled unit.

Other notable features are mono shocks, upright seating position, well finished rear end that has an LED tail lamp unit, and a raised exhaust to tackle water crossings. The Himalayan motorcycle is expected to be offered in two variants: an adventure variant and standard variant.

Regarding the launch, we expect the Himalayan to make its debut at the upcoming Royal Enfield Rider Mania, which is scheduled to take place from Nov. 20 to Nov. 22, 2015, in Vagator, Goa. Expect prices to start at Rs. 2 lakh onward.
