Video: Nicky Hayden’s WSBK Journey Begins!
Nicky Hayden has begun his journey for the Superbike World Championship with Ten Kate Honda Team. Hayden recently retired from MotoGP, and he is one of the few riders who has won Championships in MotoGP and WSBK.
The first pre-season testing began at Motorland Aragon in Spain. Nicky Hayden was happy to ride on a familiar circuit on a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP.
Hayden will be teaming up with Michael van der Mark. The World Superbike Team, Ten Kate Honda is proud to have a 2006 MotoGP (Nicky Hayden) and 2014 Supersport (Michael van der Mark) Champions. Both riders will be riding the all-new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP for the very first time.
2016 WSBK Championship will be a learning year for both riders. Nicky Hayden and Michael van der Mark will have to get accustomed to Pirelli tyres. They will also have to adjust their riding style to the new machinery.
