Mahindra Duro Scooter Removed From Indian Website
Mahindra is still a new name among two-wheeler segment in India, they offer both scooters as well as motorcycles. They have a strong portfolio of products and plan on further strengthening it.
Currently the Indian manufacturer offers two scooters and a single motorcycle:
- Mahindra UZO 125 (Scooter)
- Mahindra Gusto (Scooter)
- Mahindra Centuro (Motorcycle)
They used to also sell their Duro scooter, which has been taken off their official India site. This could only mean that Mahindra has discontinued Duro scooter, to make for newer products.
Here are the technical specifications of Duro Scooter:
- Engine: 124.6cc single cylinder, air-cooled
- Horsepower: 8
- Torque: 9 Nm
Competition for Mahindra's Duro was tough as the segment consisted of Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125. Both Japanese products are well established and made it tough for Mahindra to survive in this market.
Mahindra will soon be bringing new products to Indian market that are expected to turn the scenario around. Most likely the next launch could be their highly anticipated Mojo motorcycle.
