Lorenzo Wins 2015 French MotoGP Ahead Of Rossi & Dovizioso

By Ajinkya

Jorge Lorenzo started the French GP, just as he ended Jerez GP in spectacular fashion. The Spaniard got off the line aggressively to take lead in Le Mans GP.

He brilliantly soaked immense pressure from Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone. Rossi was not too far behind and was slowly yet steadily moving up places.

It was a horrible outing for two-time MotoGP winner, Marc Marquez. The Spaniard did not get a clean start and issues with the front end pushed him down to sixth place within a few laps.

Jorge Lorenzo extended his lead up by two seconds and Rossi could not get close to him. The race ended with Lorenzo ahead of Rossi and Dovizioso in third place.

The interesting part of the French GP was the three-way scrap for fourth place. Andrea Iannone, Bradley Smith and Marc Marquez fought tooth and nail for vital championship points.

Iannone and Marquez exchanged places several times with just four laps to finish. In the end Marquez held the position and the injured Iannone had to settle for fifth place.
