Kawasaki To Launch The Versys 650 In India Next Month
Kawasaki looks all set to launch its Versys 650 adventure-tourer motorcycle in India next month.
The Versys 650 is powered by a 649cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled parallel twin fuel-injected engine with four valves per cylinder and a dual overhead camshaft. This unit produces 68.1bhp at 8500rpm with torque peaking out at 64Nm at 7000rpm.
The bike has an upright seating position thanks to the combination of a spacious combined with raised handlebars. It also features a high ground clearance of 170mm and a height-adjustable windshield.
To bring it to a stop on any terrain the bike has dual-petal discs upfront and single rotor disc brake takes care of the rear wheel. Suspension features include upside-down front forks, alloy swingarm and an off-set monoshock at the rear.
Colour choices include the usual Kawasaki fare of Green and Black
The Versys 650 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 5.50 lakh ex-showroom.
