Kawasaki Ninja H2 (1000cc Superbike) Gets A New Paint Job For 2016

By Ajinkya

The Ninja H2, a supercharged superbike manufactured by Kawasaki will receive an all-new paint job for the 2016 model. This new colour for the company's flagship motorcycle is called ‘Mirror Coated Spark Black', which features a stary-night-like theme on black. The Chassis of the H2 will also be in black instead of the trademark Kawasaki green colour. No mechanical changes are expected in the 2016 H2 model.

Powering the Ninja H2 will be a 998cc, supercharged inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 207.1bhp (with Ram Air) and 133.5Nm of peak torque. Kawasaki engineers have paired the engine with a 6-speed gearbox. The track version-H2R-is claimed by Kawasaki to produce 300bhp, which is nearly 50% more power than the fastest street-legal motorcycles-the Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki ZX-12R.

The H2 gets several features to make riding a little bit easier with features like Kawasaki Launch Control (KLCM), Kawasaki Engine Brake Control (KEBC), Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS), Kawasaki Intelligent ABS (KIBS), and Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC).

Currently in India, the Ninja H2 is priced at Rs. 29.10 ex-showroom (Mumbai), and for 2016 the pricing is not expected to change much.

DriveSpark Thinks! There is a high possibility of Kawasaki showcasing this new colour scheme of the Ninja H2 at the upcoming 2015 Tokyo Motor Show or 2015 EICMA. And once Kawasaki launches the H2 globally, the Indian launch will soon follow.
