Kawasaki Launches Ninja 300 Special Edition With Racing Livery
Kawasaki launches Ninja 300 Special Edition in India, a few days before Diwali. The designers have provided the motorcycle with a dual-tone paint job. The Ninja 300 Special Edition looks similar to the 30th Anniversary Edition, which was introduced globally in 2014.
Previously, Kawasaki did not introduce the Ninja 30th Anniversary Edition in India. Kawasaki offered two colour options for the Ninja 300, they are Lime Green and Stardust White. The Special Edition Ninja sports similar livery to the 30th Anniversary Edition motorcycle.
The Special Edition Ninja 300 sports both, Lime Green and Stardust White colours across the bodywork. The new livery provides a more race bike like persona. Other than the new paint job to Ninja 300, Kawasaki will not be adding anything new to this motorcycle.
Powering the Ninja 300 is Kawasaki's 296cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch assist. Performance figures stand at 38.47bhp, along with 27Nm of peak torque.
Kawasaki continues offering the Ninja without ABS, even as an option on the Indian-spec Ninja 300. Internationally, Kawasaki offers the Ninja 300 with ABS as standard fitment. Kawasaki India is expected to offer ABS with the Ninja 300 as soon as it will get compulsory, from 2017 onwards.
The Ninja 300 is priced at Rs. 3.61 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). Kawasaki is sure to ask a premium amount for their Special Edition Ninja 300 in India. We expect the price would be higher by Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.
