John McGuinness Sets New Record At Isle Of Man TT
John McGuinness set a new record at the Isle Of Man TT races in the TT Zero challenge by shattering the speed record in the electric bike class.
He managed to break his own record, just a few days after setting the record during qualifying. McGuinness completed the lap in 18:58.743, setting a speed record of 119.279 mph.
This is the second TT Zero Challenge victory for McGuinness. Bruce Anstey, McGuinness' teammate, lapped the course with an impressive time, reaching a top speed of 118.857 mph.
McGuinness set a 118.056 mph record during qualifying, two days ago.
McGuinness and Anstey both race electric motorcycles called Shinden Yon for team Mugen. Victory Motorcycles finished third and fourth in the race, ridden by Lee Johnston and Guy Martin.
Team Mugen's performance this year has definitely been much better compared to the 2014 season.
