Honda Register Their 700th Win In Grand Prix Competition
Honda Racing Corporation(HRC) registered their 700th win in Grand Prix competition. Their first victory came from Tom Phillis who was riding a Honda RC143 back in 1961.
Japanese manufacturer won its first Grand Prix in 125cc class at Spanish GP. Honda's 700th win came with Marc Marquez who rode his RC213V at Indianapolis on 9th August, 2015.
Takahiro Hachigo, President, CEO and Representative Director, Honda, said "I am proud of Honda's 700th victory in the FIM Road Racing World Championship."
He further added, "This achievement could only have been realized through the countless number of people working together, and the support every fan has given for Honda's racing activities. I am deeply grateful to everyone for their contributions and support."
Over the years Honda has won titles in various classes of MotoGP. Mick Doohan won five World Championships with Honda on a trot. Valentino Rossi has won three Championships with HRC.
Honda is a popular name in the motorsport section, several World Champions have raced for them. The Japanese manufacturer is one the successful constructors in Grand Prix Racing.
