Honda CB Hornet 160R Bookings Open; December Launch
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will be launching the new CB Hornet 160R by December 2015. Dealerships have already commenced pre-booking of the upcoming naked street fighter for the Indian market. Honda plans to launch 15 new products in 2015 and CB Hornet 160R is the last product this year.
CB Hornet 160R is most likely to be launched by mid-December, 2015 and deliveries will begin soon after that. Dealers are accepting pre-bookings for a price of Rs. 5,000. The pricing has not yet been disclosed, however, it could be priced between Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 95,000 ex-showroom.
The new CB Hornet 160R by Honda will be replacing their slow seller, CB Trigger in the country. This naked street fighter will compete with the likes of Yamaha FZ-S, Suzuki Gixxer, Hero Xtreme Sports, and the TVS Apache 160 models in the Indian market.
The CB Hornet 160R was revealed at the recent 2015 Honda RevFest in the country. It will share several components with the outgoing model, however, the motorcycle will be completely redesigned for a modern and youthful appearance.
Powering the Honda CB Hornet 160R is a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces 14.5bhp and 14.61Nm of peak torque output. Honda engineers will pair the engine of CB Hornet 160R with a 5-speed gearbox.
Recently, Honda launched the CB Shine SP motorcycle in India on November 19, 2015. This was their 14th product launch in India during 2015. The Honda CB Hornet 160R will be the last product launch for this year and a lot is riding on the success of this new motorcycle.
