Hero MotoCorp To Enter Nigeria, Argentina & Mexico This Year
Hero MotoCorp, the country's largest motorcycle maker has plans to launch its motorcycle lineup in Nigeria by the third quarter of this fiscal, continuing with its global expansion.
The company will soon expand in Mexico and Argentina as well by the end of this year.
Ravi Sud, the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hero MotoCorp said, "We have shortlisted a distributor for Nigeria and we will be making our entry into that market by the third quarter. We are hopeful of launching our operations in Argentina and Mexico towards the end of the year."
Nigeria is the largest two-wheeler market in Africa, which has a market of 1.5 million units per year while Mexico and Argentina have over half a million each.
Hero MotoCorp at the moment has a presence in 24 countries across Asia, Africa and Central and South America. The company plans to operate in over 50 countries by the year 2020.
