Hero MotoCorp HX250R Launch Delayed To Late 2015 In India
India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp had displayed an array of motorcycles and scooters at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in Delhi. So far not many of these models have been launched in India or any of their global markets.
Among these the most anticipated launch is of their quarter-litre motorcycle, which has been christened as ‘HX250R'. It has been rumoured on several occasions that the motorcycle would be launched. Due to some reason or another the Indian manufacturer has delayed its launch.
Hero MotoCorp will provide its HX250R with a single cylinder 249cc engine. It is expected to generate 31 bhp, along with 26 Nm of peak torque output. The Indian manufacturer will equip its sportbike with a slick 6-speed manual gearbox. It will also feature fuel injector system with multi-sensor for best fuel delivery.
Now Hero MotoCorp is expected to offer its quarter-litre HX250R in India by October, 2015. The Indian manufacturer will then launch this motorcycle in international markets where their partner EBR sells motorcycles. International markets may see the fully-faired motorcycle by early 2016 if it encounters any further delay.
Once the HX250R is launched in India it will have to face competition from several manufacturers. These include Honda CBR 250R, KTM RC200 and Hyosung's soon to be launched quarter-litre single cylinder motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp. is surely going to be spot on with their pricing against competition.
