Hero MotoCorp ‘Duet’ Scooter To Compete With Honda Activa
Hero MotoCorp had showcased several motorcycle and scooters at 2014 Auto Expo. Most of these products were supposed to be launched in India within a short span of time.
The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer had showcased an array of new products, that have not been launched yet. All two-wheelers were designed and developed without previous partners involvement(Honda).
Now they will be launching their first all-new scooter, which was called Dash previously, but now rechristened as Hero MotoCorp Duet. This automatic scooter has been designed for both men as well as women.
Just like the Activa, Duet too will receive an all metal body. Honda has dominated the scooter segment for a while now without any serious competitor, Hero MotoCorp will surely spice things up.
Here are the technical details of Hero MotoCorp's Duet scooter:
- Engine: 110cc single cylinder, air cooled
- Horsepower: 8.4
- Torque: 9.4 Nm
The date of the launch has not been revealed yet though we believe it will be launched by 2015-end. In terms of pricing ,expect Hero MotoCorp to price its Duet scooter between INR 55,000 to INR 60,000 ex-showroom.
