Hero MotoCorp Duet scooter will be officially launched in the Indian market on the 29th of September, 2015. Previously, the Duet was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi, along with several other products.
The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer will provide the Duet scooter with a 110cc, air-cooled engine. Hero MotoCorp engineers have extracted 7.8 horsepower and 8.5Nm of peak torque output.
Duet automatic scooter will take the competition up against the Honda Activa. We expect it to be priced competitively against rivals and bear a price tag of INR 47,000 ex-showroom approximately.
Hero Duet will be targeted at young, automatic scooter buyers in India. The Indian manufacturer will also be launching Duet and several other two-wheelers in international markets.
We also expect the scooter to sport combi brake system and several other segment first features. Hero MotoCorp will also provide their scooter with tubeless tyres, however, we do not think it would get a disc brake option.
At the 2014 Auto Expo, several future products were unveiled and now, Hero MotoCorp will be introducing them soon. The company will soon be launching the Hastur motorcycle as well, which is their first venture in the big bike segment.
