Ducati Set On Making Its Indian Comeback In March, 2015
Ducati was present in India for a brief period before it moved out. Now the Italian superbike manufacturer is planning on it second coming to India. They plan on introducing dealerships in Mumbai and Gurgaon first and will be following it up with a showroom in Bangalore.
The Italian luxury two-wheeler manufacturer is planning on marking its comeback to India in March of 2015. Ducati is expected to offer its entire line up of motorcycles in India. This time the manufacturer won't be tying up with partners and will be coming as an independent entity.
Ducati is expected to launch its first products in India at attractive prices. Initially they will be opting for the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route to get their motorcycles back in India. They are also looking in at options of locally assembling their motorcycles, so they can achieve more competitive pricing.
Currently premium and luxury motorcycle manufacturers have entered and are reaping benefits. Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Indian Motorcycle, Kawasaki, KTM and the soon to be launched Benelli have already established themselves. Ducati will have to face competition from all these brands, however, their brand image is strong enough to catapult them to the top.
Ducati is an Italian motorcycle manufacturing company, which is currently owned by Audi Group. It was founded in 1929 by Antonio Cavalieri Ducati, Adriano Cavalieri Ducati, Bruno Cavalieri Ducati and Marcello Cavalieri Ducati. Their original headquarters is setup at Bologna, Italy.
The Italian manufacturer offers a wide range of products. These include Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Streetfighter and Superbike range of motorcycles. Their Scrambler as well is available in four different options. All of these will be offered in India by Ducati at various price points.
