Ducati Scrambler Official India Launch In May
Italian iconic motorcycle brand Ducati has made its official comeback to India with new showrooms and dealerships. They plan to introduce their entire range of motorbikes in India.
Ducati Scrambler is their most recent product and will be their most affordable offering. Now the Italian manufacturer will be officially launching this motorcycle in the Indian market.
Currently Ducati has inaugurated three official dealerships across India in Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai. The Italian motorcycles will be sold exclusively through these showrooms.
The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer manufacturers its Scrambler in Thailand, to save costs. Just like its competitor Triumph and their Bonneville models, however, these are offered in the form of Completely Knocked Down(CKD) units.
For the price was Ducati is expected to launch its Scrambler in India, there is no other alternative than CKD route. The Completely Built Unit (CBU) route will incur additional costs, which will put it out of reach of many motorcycling enthusiasts.
The Scrambler is an affordable option by Ducati and packs a phenomenal package:
- Engine: 803 cc L-twin
- Horsepower:
- Torque: 67.7 Nm
- Gearbox: 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch
- Chassis: Twin-spar, steel-trellis frame
- Safety: ABS as standard
We estimate that Ducati Scrambler in India will cost INR 6,40,000 ex-showroom for their base model. At that price it surely is an attractive buy and places it right in contention with Triumph's Bonneville.
Do let us know in the comment section which motorcycle according to you is the better option, Ducati Scrambler or Triumph Bonneville? In our opinion the Bonneville looks more old-school, while the Scrambler looks like a modern version of an old motorcycle.
