DSK Motowheels & Hyosung In Talk For Local Production Of Motorcycles
DSK Motowheels is gearing up for a stronger and better performance in the country. They have two major superbike brands in their arsenal to boost their brand image in the country.
The Indian company had initially partnered with Hyosung, prior to their journey with Benelli. Currently DSK Hyosung provides Completely Knocked Down models in India.
They now want to take their partnership to the next level by commencing production of Hyosung bikes in India. DSK plans to become the export hub for Hyosung superbikes.
Hyosung has not confirmed with DSK Motowheels so far and the issue is still being evaluated. They will be setting up a new facility that will have modern equipment and will be exclusive to Hyosung.
Current Wai facility will be used by Benelli alone to assemble their superbikes. DSK Motowheels would like to manufacture for the Italian as well, however, it is a bit too early at this moment.
DSK Hyosung will be introducing three new motorcycles in India during 2015. Two of which will be 250cc bikes in the form of GD250 and new GT250R. The third will be a 300cc Aquila, which will get redesigned bodywork and a bigger engine as well.
