CS Santosh Returns Home To A Hero’s Welcome
CS Santosh is back in Bangalore after a gruelling but extremely impressive run at the 2015 Dakar Rally, considered to be the most difficult motorsport event in the world.
A crowd of over 150 people, including family, media, and fans had gathered in Bengaluru International Airport to welcome home the local (and now international) hero. The down-to-earth CS Santosh was understandably emotional amidst all the loud cheering that ensued as he stepped out of the arrivals gate.
Despite all the attention, the ace rider kindly took time out to proudly pose with his Dakar participation memento for us, a symbol of the daring feat no Indian has never even attempted before, let alone finish so impressively. CS Santosh was 36th overall at the end of the rally-a truly incredible result for a rider on debut.
One of Bangalore's own is among the few sportsmen that has truly been a great ambassador while doing his bit to put India on the international motorsport map, and it's great to see his following steadily increasing.
We know his pillow would have never looked this good to him in a long time, and we wish him good rest over the next few days, with even greater success in all his future endeavours.
