CS Santosh Dakar Rally 2015 : Stage 6 Update
CS Santosh has successfully finished six stages of the Dakar Rally, the toughest motorsport on the planet. He finished stage 6 in the 64th spot and stands in the 52nd place in the overall ranking.
Stage 6 of the Dakar Rally was 318 km long and was technical. This stage was won by Helder Rodrigues from Portugal, riding a Honda. Rodrigues was also a former Dakar runner-up.
Rodrigues was followed by Toby Price from Australia, riding a KTM as well as making his first Dakar appearance, and Paolo Goncalves in third on his Honda.
Four time Dakar champion Marc Coma finished stage 6 in the 8th place and current race leader Joan Barreda managed to finish in the sixth spot.
The current overall standings in the motorcycle category is led by Joan Barreda in first, Marc Coma in second and followed by Paolo Goncalves in third.
Investigation and reports have revealed that Polish rider, Michal Hernik's reason for death during the Dakar Rally was due to dehydration and hypothermia. The 39 year old rider was found a few meters off the track without his helmet and the motorcycle had no signs of a crash.
