CS Santosh time and again proves why he the best in the country. Despite many riders giving up and a few forced to retire, CS Santosh continues to push hard.
After Stage 12, CS Santosh is in the 36th position in the overall ranking for the motorcycle class. He finished the stage in the 30th position.
The stage itself was won by Toby Price from Australia. This is the 27 year old Australian's first time at the Dakar Rally.
Toby Price was followed by Joan Barreda in second and Paulo Goncalves in third place. Four time Dakar winner Marc Coma finished the stage in the 6th place, but is still leading the overall standings in the race.
Stage 12 was difficult as riders had to be very technical especially since they faced fast wearing tyres because of very rough grounds.
In the overall rankings for the motorcycle class, Spaniard Marc Coma leads the race with more than 17 minutes lead over Paulo Goncalves, who is in second place.
Third place in the overall ranking is held by Australian Toby Price, aboard the KTM. Joan Barreda, who was leading the race till the marathon stage is in the 17th place.
The Spaniard riding the Honda knows that there is no chance for the top three spots but is instead enjoying the race and liking the chase.
