CS Santosh Dakar Rally 2015 : Stage 4 Update
CS Santosh, stands at the 50th spot overall after stage 4 of the Dakar Rally 2015. The Bangalore based rider, and the only Indian in the history of Dakar Rally to compete, finished stage 4 in the 58th spot.
Sam Sunderland, the British rider was forced to retire from the rally after a crash that took place after just 67 km into the fourth stage. The crash left the Brit with a dizzy head and a ligament damage in his shoulder.
Joan Barreda, the Spaniard on the Honda emerged as victorious at stage 4. Although Marc Coma crossed the line first, he started two minutes ahead of Barreda, which makes Barreda the winner of stage 4. He will start the stage first, followed by Coma in the next stage.
The winners of stage 4 are Joan Barreda, followed by Marc Coma on his KTM and then by Pablo Quintanilla from Chile, on a KTM again.
The overall standings are for the motorcycle category is Joan Barreda first, followed by Marc Coma in second and Paolo Goncalves from Portugal in the third place.
Simon and Llewelyn Pavey, the father and son duo have put an impressive performance during the rally as well. They stand at the 73rd and the 74th spot.
