Bajaj is looking to recapture lost grounds by launching 6 new models in 6 months time. Details are sketchy but the new launches will include a new 100 cc motorcycle and a 400 cc motorcycle.
The company will launch one new model every month for the next six months according to Ravikumar, Bajaj Auto President.
He said, "In the 100 cc segment, we have the Platina to address the value-for-money customers and Discover for executives. The new model will have its own space. we also will launch a 400 cc bike under our flagship Pulsar brand."
All these new launches are aimed at helping the company regain lost market share.
Ravikumar said, "We are looking at improving our market share, which is currently around 16-17 per cent to over 20 per cent by March on the basis of these launches."
During the April to December time, Bajaj sold 13,91,341 units, compared to 16,05,308 units sold in the same period a year ago.
