Bajaj Pulsar AS150 Makes Its Way To Turkey
Bajaj Auto launches their latest model, the Pulsar 150 Adventure Sport (AS) in Turkey. The Pulsar AS150 is priced at 6,990 Turkish Lira or Rs. 1.58 lakh equivalent in India. Bajaj launched the AS150 alongside AS200 in India on April 14, 2015.
Previously, Bajaj Auto offered two motorcycles under the Pulsar badging in Turkey: 200NS (Naked Sport) and Pulsar RS200 (Race Sport).
Powering the Pulsar AS150 is a 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox and is tuned to produce 16.77bhp, along with 13Nm of peak torque. To keep the cost low, Bajaj has ditched the fuel injection system for a simple carburettor.
The Pulsar AS150 will be aimed at young buyers in Turkey as well. Bajaj Auto will be providing its adventure bike in three colour options: black, red, and blue paint schemes. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India and shipped out to Turkey.
Bajaj Auto has based the Pulsar AS150 on the Pulsar 200NS. The chassis, swingarm, and several other components are shared between both motorcycles. In an attempt to lure younger buyers to adventure motorcycles, Bajaj introduced its AS150 along with the AS200 motorcycle.
Bajaj plans on introducing several of its motorcycles in other emerging markets. Recently, Bajaj launched its Avenger Street 220, Cruise 220, and Street 150 cruiser bikes, which could be exported as well.
