Bajaj Auto To Sell 15,000 Avenger Cruisers Per Month

Bajaj Auto has set a goal for itself to sell over 15,000 Avenger cruiser motorcycles per month. The company recently updated the motorcycle and introduced three new variants of the Avenger. Currently, the Avenger is the most affordable cruiser-type-motorcycle in the Indian market.

The new Avenger consists of three product offerings: the Avenger Street 150, Avenger Cruise 220, and Avenger Street 220. Previously, Bajaj was offering only a single version of the Avenger 220.

All three cruiser motorcycles are priced well in the Indian market. The Avenger Street 150cc is priced at Rs. 75,000/- and the Street 220cc costs Rs. 84,000/-. Bajaj has priced the top-of-the-line Avenger Cruise 220cc at Rs. 84,000/-. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (Delhi).

Currently, sales of 200cc and below accounts for eight lakh units a month. Bajaj Auto plans on gaining heavily in this segment. It is important to note that over 60 percent of this segment are first-time motorcycle buyers.

The older Avenger model sold roughly 3,500 units per month. With the introduction of three new Avenger's their initial goal will be to achieve 9,000 units per month and then look at achieving 15,000 units per month globally.
